Theme Nisarg has been released on WordPress.org ?>

Nisarg, my first theme has been released on WordPress.org on 15 March, 2016. Nisarg is clean, blog-focused, fully responsive and translation ready free theme. It was a very happy moment for me to see my theme live on WordPress.org.  My happiness doubled when i saw active installation of my theme “Nisarg” on many websites. It feels great to see how people creatively use your theme for different blogs like travel, photography and many more. As of now as per WordPress.org there are 1000+ active installation of Nisarg.

Nisarg is well suited for travel, photography, recipe, design, art, personal and any other creative websites and blogs. The theme is developed using Bootstrap 3 that makes it mobile and tablets friendly. It has various options in WordPress Customizer to change look of the theme. Theme customizer can be used to add your own header image of flexible height, background image, to set background color, header text color and accent color(Supports seven different accent colors). Theme supports eight post formats, such as: Video, Image, Aside, Status, Audio, Quote, Link and Gallery.

In short, Nisarg is proper bloggers’ theme.  If you’re a fan of Nisarg, I’d love for you to give  a review over at WordPress.org.

    1. Hello Panagiotis,

      If you want to increase sidebar width you have to make changes in code by changing number of columns assigned to sidebar and main content.

  2. Hi !

    I spent a week customizing your theme, and it’s been a lot of fun. It’s clean, simple, feels great !

    I managed to solve a few issues myself but one of them bugs me and nothing I could find on forums seems to work. In fact, my banner image can’t seem to be responsive (the main title won’t fit in an iPad for example).
    The image is 1600X300 instead of the 1600×400 advised…

    Please help !

    And thanks again for that lovely theme !

    1. Thanks elremito for your kind words. And I happy to see that my theme is customized with beautiful looking color combinations and it looks great with them. I checked your website on ipad and i found the same problem you are facing with responsiveness. I think i have to add separate CSS code(media queries) for ipad screen size. I will test with the code need to be added and let you know about the final fixes. Thanks for reporting this issue.

  3. Hello, I currently use your theme because I like the look and design. But I have the same problem as above. It appeared that the header can not properly fit in ipad.
    And second, what is the resolution of media for your theme? Some of my images can’t properly appeared whether in featured image or inside the blog.

    Thank you so much.

  4. I plan to transfer an existing website to GreenGeeks, and I’m trying to find a good theme to use. I like the look of your theme, however, I’m wondering if it has paypal functionality? We’re a small environmental nonprofit – http://www.ChesapeakeEcologyCenter.org – and I’d like to add a donate option/button. Also, can a search feature be added, and social media links/icons? One more question–do you offer any custom service if one want to add something that’s not currently in your theme?
    Thanks, Zora

    1. Hello Zora,

      You can use plugins to add all the functionality you mentioned in your message. Search for the best plugin and install it in your WordPress.

  5. This is one of the best themes i’ve seen on WordPress. Thanks a lot!! Any idea how to remove the search box, recent comments, archives, categories and meta boxes located on the right side of your theme? Thanks again for your creativity.

  6. Hello,

    Nice you have created.

    I’m running into one problem I can’t resolve myself.

    I want to have my newspage showing full content messages without a ‘read more’ button.

    Can you tell me how to aclomplish that

    Thanks in advance.

    Niels

    1. If you want to show the blog post entirely on the post listing page, then you have to make changes in the code. Open content-*.php and remove the following if/else condition from all content-*.php.

      < ?php if ( is_search() || is_home() || is_archive() || is_author()) : ?>

      < ?php the_excerpt(); ?>

      Only keep the code in the else part.Final code to keep is:
      ————————————————————————–

      < ?php the_content(); ?>
      < ?php wp_link_pages( array( 'before' => ‘

      ‘,
      ) );
      ?>

  7. Hi! Like others, I love your theme which I installed just few days ago. Before Nisarg I was using some other theme (it was long ago and when I switched I didn’t make a note of the name of the other theme I had there).

    The problem I have now is that I can no longer have the feature image be full size and up front like I did before. If you have a second to take a look at my blog posts, the latest 2 are done with Nisarg theme, and the previous ones with full size feature images are the earlier ones – is there a way I can reproduce the earlier look of posts with full size images up front with Nisarg? I can’t seem to find it. What code do I enter in my posts to get that same look? I’m an illustrator and it’s all about images for me :))

    Thanks a lot for your help (will rate and comment at WordPress once I solve this little issue)

  8. OK, figured it out! gone are the days of me setting the feature image via the CSS, it’s now all much simpler :))

    The only other thing I had to work around was figuring out how to make the caption visible on the feature image. Done that too, all’s well now – love your theme!

  9. Hello,

    Thanks for the quick support, but unfortunally this is not working.

    I can only find the mentione if statement in content.php, in the content-*.php I can find the code statement, sometimes packed in a if statement?

    ” . esc_html__( ‘Pages:’, ‘nisarg’ ),
    ‘after’ => ”,
    ) );
    ?>

    If I change the code as you mentioned in te content.php, then no posts are shown, I tried to edit the content-*.php by removing the ‘div’ in the before and after array elements, but that didn’t do the trick.

    Can you please help me (again)?

    Niels

  10. Hello,

    I have managed to get it working Thank you 🙂

    I have done a little bit less than you mentioned, what I did is :

    <!– –>

    <!– –>

    ” . esc_html__( ‘Pages:’, ‘nisarg’ ), ‘after’ => ”, ) ); ?>

    Thanks again for the support.

  12. Hi! Could you please help me understand why is my header title image not showing in the mobile version of the site which, btw, handles the Nisarg theme beautifully. But I would like to have my title image visible on mobile too.

    Also, in customization of the theme, there is something called site icon that is supposed to be square and at least 512 px wide and tall. Where is this image meant to be shown? is this a favicon by any chance?

    Thanks!

    1. Hello Lana,

      I think you have changed the header coding little bit and inserted the image. The theme nisarg is not originally coded to handle site title as image. That is why it is not displaying your header in mobile version correctly.

      Regarding your second question, you are right. The image meant to be shown as favicon. And i can see it appearing on your website.

  13. Hello,I like your theme,but i found a Bug,
    Article title for the Chinese, the display column will be reported to the wrong, Printf Warning: (): Few Arguments Too In \Wp-Content\Themes\Nisarg\Inc\Template-Tags.Php On Line 135
    When the title is in English, it is no problem. Can you see why, thank you!

    1. Hello zhangyongli,

      To remove the warning make it print instead of printf.
